Seriously, your pug is great and well worth $45. That's a good price to start with. But you do want to sell them so it will have to be reasonable. How small is that? It is, as alot here have stated, better to start a little lower and then raise the price as the demand increases. 45.00 is a very good place to start. Not too low but not so high it's not affordable. And they are adorable i might add. By the way, thanks for your comment on my blog. I still have to figure out how to reply to someone's comment. I have a half-dozen of those easels and canvases, and haven't figured out WHAT to do with them - but I think you're onto something.

Here's what I think about prices. First, ditto to what everyone said. Second, I believe you live in an affluent area, yes? So that will influence things.

How long did it take you to paint that pugger? If it took three hours, that would make a difference, but I bet it took you far less.

Honesly, I think it's WORTH $100 or more. But I would start pricing them at $25. If they sell like hotcakes, then you can call that the special introductory price and raise your prices.

An artist I greatly admire, personally and talent-wise (you'd like his stuff, I think: Murad Sayen, http:////www.shadowchasers.com/) told me that, as I am just starting out, it is my obligation to be humble when it comes to prices.

So that's my 2 cents.carrie jacobsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14873372843804612246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1765631622553247399.post-76551222815275919732009-02-04T14:03:00.000-08:002009-02-04T14:03:00.000-08:00I think it's a good price, especially for custom w...I think it's a good price, especially for custom work.
