On a 3x3 canvas??? How can you NOT have big bold brush strokes! I'm not sure my glasses are good enough for working that small, I'm quite impressed that you got the detail you did.
Nice brushstrokes! 3x3 is quite a challenge! Am I right when I say that the painting is smaller than its photo? We use the metric system in South Africa, I suppose you refer to inches, Sheila?
And yes Legos are such fun! I grew up without them, but the 4 children had almost a roomful....needless to say, a lot had to be rescued out of vacuum cleaner's way!
Leave it to you, Sheila, to find the beauty in a Lego! I realize I sound repetitive, but those brush strokes are wonderful! Like icing on a cake, truly! Great job on the shadows too!
I love the loose work and the great brushstrokes too, but I gotta tell you, as a mom of a kid who loved Legos what first pops in my mind is the excruciating pain of stepping on one when you're barefoot. But I LOVe the painting!
