Darling and Debonair Dog portrait
I was delighted when a friend asked me to paint his daughter's dear dog as a gift for her.
This was fun because he gave me free rein on how to approach the portrait. He's tiny but I could tell he was a character.
What a great little model and I can certainly see that you had such fun painting little Dior! Great job, I can't imagine who wouldn't love this painting.
Such a dear little dog! Most little dogs more than live up to their very large egos. Have a feeling this may be true of little Dior. Wonderfully expressive, Shelia. I know his owners are thrilled!
Sheila! This is gorgeous! I love the background and the addition of Dior's name. There is something charming about having a designer name, yes? You never cease to amaze me with your talents. (Can you package some up and send it on to me?)
These little guys often have that nervous energy, and lots of it. I think you have capture Dior's essence! I love his expression...ready to get into something new. They will certainly love this!
Very great to integrate its name in its portrait... j'aime ce regard fripon à travers cette touffe de poils que tu as su parfaitement faire jaillir. bravo!
This little guy has character indeed! Fun! She's going to love it! Colorful and I don't think there's any timidity in it! (new word I learned over at Celestes, I'll be useing it from time to time!) Sheila, your animal portraits are wonderful! Dior? : )
I had called upon none other than Sheila to paint a portrait of my daughters dog, Dior for her upcoming birthday. It will also be close to Diors first birthday as well. Needless to say, I'm more than happy with it. Sheila exceeded my already high expectations of what she could come up with from a few lousy photos we had of him. She captured him perfectly, and the name above looks like a celebration of his tremendous character! Could not help but to show the prrof to my daughter, christina, and she was absolutely amazed. She's very excited about the painting Sheila, thanks so much. Your awesome.
OMG, you captured this dog's personality just right! My niece has one with the exact same expression most of the time. Is the name "Christian"...? Or Jean Paul? jOr "Bling" or "Kim."
Way cool Sheila. My grand daughter got one of these little things several months ago and is now in business of housebreaking and trying to go to school too. I can never tell where his eyes are.

Yep, that look in his eye says he's a character.

This is a cutie pie, love that wild unmanageable hair-do and you painted it beautifully. Well done, Sheila!

This one is a cuteie.
What a great name for a dog. When we think that we heard them all.
Is this posthumous? I note that you used past tense for him? Well, he is/was very cute and your treatment for him is charming.

Sheila, another great pet portrait. When I first saw it, I thought oh, a stylish dog who admires good fashion. Very cute name!
I like the painting of the two teens at the St. Paddy's Parade. You asked about your blue line -- it's a winner in my opinion!
Very great to integrate its name in its portrait...
