Las Trampas Park and warm weather memories
I started this about six months ago after going on a hike at a wonderful Regional Park located about 5 minutes from where I live. I changed it last month from a realistic to a more impressionistic and I think happier image. Just the antidote for the last dreary, rainy and cold days we've been having.

Very nice, Sheila. I like the light colors on top of the trees.
Reminds me of walking in the moonlight for some reason. Has a really nice ethereal/dreamlike quality at that.
love this... wish i had the $$$ to buy it. the swirling sky, the top lit trees...
I'm glad we were able to make arrangements so it could go to a good home Suzanne.
ohmystars, i am so happy and thankful, sheila. tis the perfect perker-upper for these grey grey grey oregon days
Comme j'aimerais errer sur ce long chemin... Qu'y a-t-il derrière la colline ???... incitation aux rêves.
Bisous ma chère Sheila et bonne année à vous.
Lovely!
The idea that you have influence by the forensic caught my eye. I was an anthropology, Spanish and a fine art minor. I have found a way to mesh all three with my own artwork. This piece you completed looks like one of the greats. Stunning and Van Gogh-esque. Bravo!
magical!
Sheila, I see someone else mentioned Van Gogh and I agree. The swirls in the sky especially reminds me of a Van Gogh sky...just wonderful!
I love it, Sheila, and the whorls in the sky are just the BEST - I think making it more impressionistic lets the viewer make it their own, too....
Very nice. I love the use of thick paint in your work!
I love the bold colors, Sheila!
Very dreamlike and dare I say magical even!

Great piece Sheila, very expressive I love the brushstrokes and the outlines of the trees, glad to see you back. Wishing you all the best for 2011!
Oooooh...love that swirly sky! Would love to see this in person at this large size. I can see why it sold. What a beauty!
I love this! Very Van Gogh!
