Sweetie and Buddy

30x24 and 30x12
oil on gallery wrapped canvas

This was a commission for a dear friend. She missed her furry family companions Sweetie (on the left) and Buddy. She gave me free reign and only requested it be large and as wild as I wanted. Well this took me longer than I wanted and I thank her patience.

I think the surreal background gives an ethereal feel to a heavenly feline playroom for this two.

Love it! And it does have an unworldly feel to it. A special place where they can play forever.

Awesome job Sheila, what a great way to remember ones pets. I'm so happy she gave you free reign, because these turned out soooo wonderful. Love the colors and details and the difference in sizes is just plain cool too. Very cohesive.

Love the way you handled the two sizes of the canvas, Sheila. This is perfect and what beautiful kitties! I am so sorry for your friend's loss. By the way...my husband got his package yesterday! I'm waiting until he gets home from a business trip to open it - I'll let him have that pleasure as they are his pieces!

You have captured the joy they must have brought into your friend's life. You can just feel their playfulness. Nice!

Hi Shiela, this DOES seem a bit different from your normal style and I like it. The background seems a bit ethereal but fun too, like a circus in the sky to me. It's always worth putting the extra effort into an artwork.

Soooo charming, painted with obvious enthusiasm and heart-- I LOVE it. Wanna have you paint my Coco and Layla kitties someday.

From the mom of these two babies, thank you for posting it on your site. I'm very honored. It's a beautiful tribute to my first two furry kids. You did an incredible job, and everything I hoped for when I said 'do what you think is best' came true. I have just the perfect place in my bedroom to put the paintings so that I can see it each morning when I wake up.
I cannot thank you enough, my dear friend.
