Beetscape

Beet Gold
size is just short of 20x48 inches
oil on stretched canvas

Yes, its another beet but not only is it gold, I decided to paint it on a grand scale. It cooked up to a paler yellow but it was just as yummy. Okay, I think that will help me with my beet fixation for now.

Oh, I love your colors! And, the way you define the shape of the beet with your strokes is outstanding. I'll bet this beauty takes over a room...

Gorgeous work and excellent job on those shadows, Sheila! I've seen yellow beets on the Food Channel, but never have tasted them. I get cravings for beets occasionally but only know how to cook them when they come from a can! LOL (Sent you an email, by the way; hope you got it!)

Cette betterave est mise à l'honneur... J'aime beaucoup la manière que vous avez traiter le feuillage qui s'étale gracieusement pour mieux mettre en valeur sa racine.
Belle harmonie de couleurs.
gros bisous

I don't think so, because once fixated, always fixated!

Konnichiwa Miss,

I am honored to make your acquaintance. Your profile of 'Police officer' is what caught my attention. I too retired in 2010 as a patrol Lieutenant. I wanted you to know that your paintings are inspiring! It gives me great pleasure to write something other than 'person's reports' or draw something other than sketches of intersections.
kind Thoughts,
