Forest Home Farm Windmill

Windmill
20x16 oil on panel

I have been to the Forest Home Farm several times and I've always wanted to paint this windmill. I was there for the sheep shearing event in April and took a shot of the windmill and its mid-morning shadow. This is one of a couple of larger paintings I've been working on. I might have to do a couple small ones to build up my confidence.

I've seen many windmills and love them. I would like to paint one, but I'm just plain chicken!! Yours is wonderful and I love the shadow! I'm inspired now to "think" about painting a windmill! :-)

The vespa below is gorgeous if one can say such a thing about a motorcycle. But I love the colors and the lines; just downright yummy! This piece is also gorgeous, Sheila. Beautiful job on the shadows too!

Nice brushwork and such a fun composition. Shadows are so much fun and this plays a prominent role in your work. Very charming.
