Hayden and Christian

I was fortunate enough to run into an old friend at a recent party. He and I got reacquainted and he saw my art work on my business cards and I saw his beautiful 2 year old twins. He then asked me to paint his twins for a Christmas gift for their mother. Yes, it was only two weeks away but I was willing to do this for a dear friend. This is Christian and Hayden. We were only able to meet two days before Christmas for the delivery so I wrapped his precious twins in a box for him. When he opened the box, he smiled, said "She's going to love them...I think I'm going to cry." That sentiment was his Christmas gift to me.

I am absolutely SURE she loved them. You really made them animated and full of life. Adorable... and you did such a great job with making them portraits but left them loose and interesting!

The two portraits are beautiful. I like the painterly brushwork a lot.

Tears are a beautiful and very important part of the payment...many times standing on its' own as the most important payment.
The twins are beautifully done, Sheila...I also like their presentation
in red paper in the box!

I can see why tears were forthcoming. These are outstanding! I'll bet their mother did cry upon receiving them. I feel I know both of these children from your beautiful representations of them. Wow!

Happy New Year!

Oh, I bet she cried like a baby! I'm almost crying and I don't even know them. How delightful for the parents... I love seeing your new work Sheila, it's so amazing to see your progress--- Please, keep 'em coming in 2012 and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
