Rinse Well

I have been enjoying JM's travelling blog for quite a while. I finally asked him if I could use an image or two to paint. He generously granted permission. I loved this photo he tagged Jaisalmer, Rajasthan which is a city and region in India.

Nothing like taking our showers and faucets for granted. This does look fun for a hot summer day though.

I love it. Yes we need to be thankful in the small things too. You did such a fabulous job here I love your colors and your ability to express these movements.

Sheila! This is gorgeous! It does indeed look fun for a hot day. Somehow this little guy's mom looks as though she is having fun with this as well. Her sari is so beautiful, so colorful. You have done a quite masterful job with this fun piece.

I love the color!
The water is wet and refreshing.
Both mother and child are in a state of enjoyment, and your painting, (love the strokes!) shows
this wonderfully.
Sheila, this must have been as fun to paint as it is to view!

This is such a lovely and peaceful moment in the life of a family! I love your painting, Sheila, and find that the brushwork and theme reminds me of German Expressionism of the Early 20th Century

Sheila, a great slice of daily life in another culture served up with the most delicious brush strokes. Your style is so very personal - vibrant, colorful, and full of life. Keep them coming.

Oh what a lovely piece! It reminded me that I haven't bathed from the backyard hose in a while LOL! I used to do it in Albuquerque when I had 3' thick long hair. It was easier to wash my hair outdoors and let nature be my hair blower. We are so blessed in this country. Blessings to you! Where is your Karin portrait post??? I wanted to see upclose.

Gorgeous color and wonderful brush strokes. You are right, we take things for granted all the time. Whenever the power goes out, we feel that we are totally lost. Sometimes we need to unplug and just enjoy the moment. Your art is beautiful and inspirational!
