Just when I post that I don't paint flowers I go to the grocery store and see this little potted calla lily proud as a peacock amongst the flower display. I saw the price was $11.95 and decided it was a over my budget. I took my camera phone and snapped a couple of pix until the manager started asking if I needed any help. I came home and painted this little plant. 8x10 oil on canvas

The colors in this really pop! Sheila - for not painting flowers, you should reconsider! The brushstrokes make this 'lovely' seem so alive with the colors you juxtaposed against one another!
