So I was showing my 11 year old daughter the Different Strokes from Different Folks blog.
She told me she wanted to participate.
I think her multimedia 10x8 painting turned out so much more interesting than my 6x8 oil on canvas board.... *sigh* [okay I'm just a tad proud too. ;o)]

WOW! She's inherited your Art Genes...both paintings are very nice!
wow I agree with the above comments! lovely paintings!!
Nice Sheila! Hey, at least you have yours trained to do it on her OWN canvas! HaHa Good job with the water (you know how I loathe plaid and water subject matter) Have a great weekend! -Tom
Sheila, both of you did such a ncie job on the dsfdf beach. This is really a great example that even from one house there can be many interpretations. I also love your pet portraits and am looking into the art for the animals project to do with my students for the animal shelter in my area. Such a nice thing to do!!!!!
Great work here, you should be proud. My own children draw/paint also. I was thinking about posting some of their work and you gave me a bit of a push. Thanks, Sheila.
Nice one Sheila, and it's great to see your daughter taking an active interest. Scary potential upside if she stays with it huh?

Sheila, these are both such bright and bold paintings! I love that your daughter wanted to participate. I hope she will feel encouraged to continue! Nice work, both of you!
Very nice, Sheila. It's wonderful that your daughter wants to join in - she did a very nice one as well.
I like them both.
Hi! I love your painting and am blown away by your daughter's. How can she not want to paint, with such a model painter as her mom and mentor? Please give her my congratulation! (And accept mine, too, on your piece). xo
She's talented! I like both of your entries!
You BOTH did a super job!!
Love your work and the colors so I tagged you with the Passion for Painting award. If unfamiliar, go to my blog and read about it. Great job!!!
