Lucy

Lucy is another cat from my local SPCA.  She was chosen by staff because she's challenged by being deaf.  They say she has a sweet disposition and those beautiful green and blue eyes but needs a special home to be sensitive to her challenges.

She's another part of our Art for the Shelter Animals project.

I bet Lucy is even more beautiful in person. I hope she will find a wonderful home very soon!
A white cat with odd-color eyes tend to be deaf unless they have a gray patch on their head as a kitten. The gray patch disappear as they grow up.

Yeah...missed ya...I was beginning to worry. Lucy shouldn't have to worry about finding a home soon. Cute cat and cute picture.

Hi Sheila, Thank you for the kind words on my blog. The cookbook paintings are 6X9. Pretty quick to do, for the most part.

Lucy is beautiful and your painting of her is wonderful. I recently painted a dog that had 2 different color eyes and she was deaf, too! I hope she finds a loving home soon.

Oh, Sheila, Lucy is a doll. Lovely painting! I had a white cat, Niobe, who lived to be 21. She wasn't deaf - except when she wanted to be. She was a character. If this painting doesn't get that cat adopted, I don't know what kind of world we live in. Beautiful.

I've seen your comments everywhere,
Except beneath your pose,
I guess I got the likeness wrong,
The eyes? The cheeks? The nose?
:-)
