This is Raisin

A memorial piece for someone's much love Bull Mastiff.

Just wanted to let you know I've been a little pre-occupied with hearing an 11 year old girl was missing from the Girl Scout Camp my daughter was at.  The girl was located, I talked to my girl and all is well now.

Wonderful painting, Sheila! So much 3-d detail in his muzzle, and such sweet eyes.

Glad to hear the young girl was found. That must have been really frightening.

What a majestic animal. You painted the eyes so soulfully.

Thank God the young girl was found! That had to be a nightmare.

Sheila, what a beautiful painting! The wrinkles on his muzzle, the foreshortening, the expression in his eyes, the tactile quality of the entire painting, wow. It's really good. I really like it!

Glad your daughter is fine in all of this. Must have been terrifying for you. Hope you're feeling better today.

So good to hear things are all okay with the girl! Your dog painting is awesome, so sensitive and "deep." Keep it up. I'm getting back into the studio after a big bit of painful dental work, meetings, and such. Yay studio time!
