Parakeet Pals Plein Air
I painted this while I was at my last "meet the artist" stint at the pet store. I had no photos yet of pets to paint so I took the opportunity to paint these pals who were about 15 feet in front of me.
Just gone back through your last few postings - how do you find the time??? If these cityscapes are anything to go by, your DSDF painting is going to be TOPS!
(I'm still working on the last challenge and dammit, will post it anyway when finally finished!)
Sheila, how wonderful! I admire the fact that you can go there and just sit down and paint what's in front of you, and in front of strangers. Wow, what confidence! I love the parakeets!
I love this one! I'm always full of admiration for people who use oils for plein air painting. To me (who has never painted in oils at all) it seems like it would be so much more complicated and so much more equipment to have to carry around, not to mention drying time. You make me want to go out and buy oil paints and try it out for myself.

Sheila!
I like the composition here. The scene is cropped in such a way that there isn't a blank spot on the canvas. Good job with that!
I am really curious what people said as you were painting. Surely someone walked by and wondered what you were doing, no?

Oh Sheila, these little guys are sooooo cute. Love the colors too. Very nice!
I agree with Liz, how do you find the time!!
Love the last three. I've missed a few days posting :-(
I really like the look of the strong dark lines in this. It has an almost abstract feeling when first glanced.
You are so amazing and confident!
How interesting with the almost abstract shapes. Seeing the bird couple was delightful find among the other shapes.
Love this painting of the pet shop. You are amazing. I don't think I can paint when other people are watching me. lol
Really nice, Sheila!
I really like this one!
Like this a lot!
So sweet, Sheila. Love these guys. Wonderful painting.
