Looks fast standing still

I felt very honored when a former co-worker of mine asked me to paint his "baby". He had seen my Vespa painting and thought it would be cool to have that style depict his motorcycle which he loves to ride all over the country.

He was a motorcycle cop when he was in traffic and this is probably a lot more comfortable and easier to maneuver than the loaded down Harley he rode.

Very nice, Sheila! You did such a good job getting it to look metallic with the reflections in the paint. He will love it!

Sheila, this is such a wonderful painting! I love the background and I am in awe of the detailing you've achieved and with a minimum of brush strokes! Wish I lived near you; I'd beg for a lesson or three! 'Course, I'd beg for a lesson or three from any and all of the artists I love to follow! LOL

I also love the way you painted the negative spaces with big bold strokes.

Wow cool! I once thought that a bike is that hardest thing to paint. All those circles! The loose style makes it a lot easier.

Nice bike. You did a great job with the painting. I use to own a Harley but sold it. Made me too nervous on the highway.

Sheila, you did a nice job of creating a complex image using such simple strokes. I always find the subtle nuances in red to be one of the hardest things to paint - you nailed it.

This could become your main theme, Sheila. I can remember previuos paintings in this line. I think you make an inanimate object seem lively. Thanks for the visit (last night, while we were sleeping in this half of the globe)!
