Linda's Precious Poppy

Many of you may know Linda from The Briar Rose Gate blog and her beautiful art work. I was saddened to read that her dear Poppy had passed on. I just wanted to make a little painting to show my vision of Poppy happy and frolicking and looking over Linda.

My first thought when I opened your blog was -- well there's a happy dog! And then I noticed the wings. What A lovely thought, Sheila!

I'm sad whenever someone close to our heart passes away.I haven't seen the wings of the dog first but when i read i realised. Like an angel he'll always remain close to our heart.Your thought of this painting is wonderful and far more touching.

Sheila, you are all heart! I love this piece and you certainly suggested that this little angel is watching over her owner.

Also, I checked out other work done while I was on vacation. You were very prolific in spite of life's time challenges. I especially like your "plane art" from your Minneapolis trip.

I love the wild brushstrokes in the background. It makes everything look more lively and creates a sense of motion.

Poppy is smiling down on this one.
