Summer and Sadie from Animal Place Sanctuary

This is what Animal place wrote about these two:

"Summer (left) is a dairy byproduct, an unwanted male calf. They are sold at auction for between $3-20 and are generally considered worthless by industry.

"Sadie (right) is a former dairy cow. She never knew any of the calves she gave birth to. At the young age of 6-7, she was sent to slaughter but miraculously saved.

Now, she gets the chance to mother two more calves (Nicholas was her first opportunity). She's very gentle with both of them. "

I've placed this painting up for auction on Ebay HERE.

Sam Dolman was kind enough to try and teach me how to add a widget on the side bar for these listings. I'm still trying to figure it out.

Another wonderful painting, Sheila. If I stand back from a distance, this looks limke an intrguing abstract but when getting up close I can see the delightful character that you have such a way of bringing out in these animals

This is so beautiful, Sheila. I think knowing the story behind these two makes it even more so. I am so thankful that they have a chance to live out their lives, hopefully with peace and comfort. Thank you too for your love of animals.

Very nice. I love cows. My Mom always named them and called baby calves blossoms as their ears stood up when we would be riding along looking for them at the ranch. Cool painting.
