Saved from a fall

This is a close up of my other painting from my day out with the Pleasanton Art League. Just as I was packing up, it flopped over and landed on the top edge on the ground. So when I got it home and I just repainted the top 1/2 inch or so to salvage it.

Sheila, this is fabulous darlin'! You have such a unique and distinctive style. I love visiting your blog each day and can never wait to see what is next! I always like paintings that have old cars, old tractors, old trucks, old barns...See what happens when you get old? LOL Gorgeous work and I am so glad you were able to save the piece!

I love it! Your brush work is energetic and brings it to life. I can't tell that you had to restore it, so you did a great job :)

Sheila...I love this piece. Your little mishap did not take away from this piece. Very well done. Reminds me of an old truck I saw one day at home (HI) that had been abandoned, rusted, but beautiful foliage was growing out of it. Tried to take a decent picture of it to paint, but didn't get one. Guess I'll have to try and remember.

Wonderfully expressive and vibrant brushwork, Ms Sheila!! And impressively even application of said brushwork (if that makes any sense?!) Your style is evolving so beautifully!

Nice work Sheila! So full of life and colour... it has character... a tractor with a story to tell!

you can't be a plein air painter until a painting falls face down into the dirt. So, you are already initiated. Congratulations.
It's a nice painting too!

Wow, you are so brave to get out there and paint. Everything is so "real"...all the elements and the spontaneity of the painting. This picture turned out really well!

My first response is Wow -this piece has movement, then I read your post and I laughed because it's a mover alright! Glad that you were able to keep this one still long enough to repair it, Sheila!
