Windows to the Words
Most of you know jovial James Parker with his hilarious comments and really wonderful works of art. He started a new challenge called Windows to the Words -Art where each artist picks a choice of prose and paints or draws something based on it's content. This 5x7 acrylic on canvasboard was based on the Moody Blue's song, "Lovely to see you."

SHeila, first I love paintings of a woman with a bird for some reason. In this case, I enjoy the mystery of how you cropped her. Your mind is such a natural with composition it's excellent! I give this piece a 10!
Sheila...your little bluebird of happiness popped out of my computer while I was downloading, gobbled up a Twinkie, and winged his way over to the Windows to the Words Art page. I love it.
Beautiful Sheila! This goes wonderfully with the lyrics. The woman and bird are connected by the color blue, which is also the color of 5th chakra that controls "communication."
Nice painting Sheila. The bird and the woman are united by the blue color.
Lovely little painting. There seems to be a communication going on here that needs to be heard.
I love it, it speak of so many things. She looks like she is hearing something new. NICE

Yes I agree with the comments before me--this piece is splendid! Bravo.

Let me join in dear~ excellent, charming, and light. I'm please that she allows the bird to rest on her hand...it can leave if it wants...beautiful sentiment...must go back to the song to see what inspired you. <3
Nice bold brushwork and I like the background color choice too!
