This is a little 8x10 watercolor on board that I am giving to the Pet Depot Owner for having me have the "meet the artist" day at her store. She liked the event so much that she booked three more days in the next three months to do the same. [This is despite the fact, I only got one commission] So it was a struggle because I'm not that competent with watercolor but I thought I'd try it anyway. What's she gonna say? I started this last month, put it away for a couple of weeks, bought some gouache for the small details to see if it would help. Oh well, that's the advantage when it's a gift and not a commission right?

I just like the character.
I have to get back to updating my blog.
This is a soulful portrait of a dog. Wow!! Very well done. I think your pet paintings really stem from the heart.

Fantastic Sheila, I am so jealous and wish I could paint
I hope she loves it, you captured such a great personality. So cute! I was driving by a kennel yesterday (lots of barking going on) and thought of you. Another place to put your business card and offer commissions! :)
This is my favorit.
Well done my friend well done.
Sooo sweet. Absolutely beautiful. You can do everything so well!!!
Sheila, it doesn't look like it was a struggle at all. It's beautifully done, and fresh-looking. I hope you'll go for more watercolor!
This is fabulous, Sheila. I especially love how you added the toy.
Its brilliant Sheila. I use anything that works, and what you used looks fantastic. Lindax
So Cute and wonderful, it reminds me of my babies (dogs) how they love to have a chew toy.
Wonderful portrait! The pup has sort of sweet sad puppy dog eyes and yet the toy says ... "spoiled happy baby". Keep up the great work.
