Sometimes my Ex really tics me off!
I'm sure this is not the kind of self portrait Michelle and Tracey were thinking about but this is what I felt like after getting off the phone with him talking about the kids.
terrific cartoon. the opposite happened for me, after my divorce my ex and I stopped fighting and get along better now then when we were married. That's a pretty good sign being divorced was the right thing.
Sheila, your paintings are great but as I said to you already in corresponding that i really love your sketches! I think its so unbelievably cool that you can directly express your feelings and emotions immediately through your sketches. I can completely relate to this particular sentiment as i am in a similar situation as you and get so frustrated having to deal with the "other end"
atta girl, get it all out. excellent cartoon that so richly illustrates your frustration. i'm sorry you're vexed, sending hugs to you and a "be sweet and kind" mojo to him. hang in.
Well said and done. I love your cartoon, which suggests a good way of relieving frustration. Another alternative is to drop at tea art at my blog.Thanks.
Hi Sheila, I'm glad you feel much better after this. Hey, isn't this what they call an art therapy? By the way, I'm impressed with your skills on cartoon drawing. You are multi-talented! ps. I replaced my profile photo with my new still life (my favorite mug) - sometimes I get tired of keep seeing my own face over and over. And update on the "art for animals" - I'm working on something with my local SPCA (just talked to their manager) - wish me luck.
LOL...great caricature! (No that's not what I had in mind). Sorry to hear about troubles with your ex. Hope everything gets worked out to your advantage!
Sheila what a great job expressing yourself with this frustration. I can relate to you so well having been in the same spot but the kids are the one feeling the worst of it. I hope peace and similar focus can be achieved for them.
I've been in your spot, and this sketch just says it all! I agree with Gary, your paintings are wonderful but what you can do with line is truly amazing! Hang in there--not sure how old your kids are, but it gets better when they are grown and on their own.
Hi Sheila This is a funny sketch, I am sorry about your feelings with your ex. I am also divorce but my ex is way out my life, since Arthur was 3. I am sending you lots of peace to you and the kids.
I LOVE this! This is how I felt Thursday because of DH. That's me in the drawing. Once I got in touch with the "button" he pressed, things became clear and I was okay. BTW, you should do more cartoons; they are great! Try some animal ones with human expressions, or animal expressions.
Thank God your ex pissed you off. If he hadn't we wouldn't have gotten to see this awesome sketch from you!
Such a fantastic whimsical/cartoony style you have! I'm shocked because I didn't know you could draw like this!
I would LOVE to see you do more pen and ink illustrations like this. This totally looks like something you'd see in the funny pages or in a children's book.
Now quick, go talk to your ex about the kids again!
Sheila- I love your sketch! I don't think I would be able to publish my cathartic sketches :>) Hope the waves become fewer & farther between for you my friend!
Brilliant Sheila, all the girls know how men can make you feel, I'm sure we have all pulled this face once or twice, OK,I lied, lots of times. Lindax:) :0

This is great....I can relate because I sometimes feel that way about myself. I don't even need another person to make it happen..
Hang in there, Sheila...

We all love you, Irit

How funny! Sheila, you have a great ability here! Not everyone can do cartoons so well, not only the expression on your face but the cat also!
A pox on your ex!
But I love the cartoon :-)

I think Gary is spot on, its a fantastic skill you have there Sheila and a great way to express yourself, like the addition of the cat:o)
I've felt that way at least twice this week.;)
I love the painting you did of Chloe and Brady!

What a great way to get things off your chest.
I think this sketch is quite exceptional! You could have a successful career as a cartoon satirist!
been there! love it!
