Mina's partner - Celeste!

This is a companion portrait of Celeste. She is the other dog my client has and is the complete opposite from Mina. The client allowed me to be a little more expressive with her because she described Celeste's puppy like behavior which is the Ying to Mina's calm and serene Yang.

When she saw this portrait, she wrote: "Celeste is such a doof – you’ve captured that perfectly!!"

She certainly was fun to paint and I appreciate it when clients give me a little more artistic freedom.

The direct brush strokes give a real vitality to this painting. I think it is the assuredness that makes it have such an appealing look. Nice painting

Hi Sheila...Missed Mina so went back to look. Cute puppies. Celeste has so much personality and looks like a pup who would just lick you to death. Great job on both.

Hey Sheila,

I know it is SUPER late in coming, but here's at least one picture of Mina with her portrait on the wall. I know it doesn't show your paintings clearly, but I think it captures beautifully the Mina you painted. I'll get more at some point: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rinalia/4988614696/in/photostream/.

I just wanted to once again extend my gratitude for the paintings. When I bought my first home I knew exactly where the paintings should go - they are the first thing everyone sees when they walk in!
