11.95

Just when I post that I don't paint flowers I go to the grocery store and see this little potted calla lily proud as a peacock amongst the flower display. I saw the price was $11.95 and decided it was a over my budget. I took my camera phone and snapped a couple of pix until the manager started asking if I needed any help. I came home and painted this little plant.

Love it Sheila! So beautiful and I've been known to lurk around the flowers in Whole Foods snapping photos of the pretty flowers.

That is one gorgeous and so delicate looking calla lily. How you've managed that delicacy with bold strokes is a fabulous mystery to me, Sheila, but manage it oh so beautifully you did!

Bravo Sheila ! Les arômes sont de belles fleurs... j'en avais plantés lorsque je vivais à Port-Grimaud dans mon jardin...
Belle peinture ma chère Sheila.

You know, Pam, I always say that and then I look around and see I have painted quite a few flowers. You do them well!!

They have a wonderful, lively Van Gogh look to them.

I love the wild colors in this! I have taken my camera with me for years to greenhouses and garden centers-- you never know when the perfect image might be waiting for you.

Hi Sheila,
The email address you gave me isn't working. You were #5 in the calendar giveaway but, I'd still like to send you some blank note cards. Please send me an email through my web site with your mailing address if you would like them.

The colors in this really pop! Sheila - for not painting flowers, you should reconsider! The brushstrokes make this 'lovely' seem so alive with the colors you juxtaposed against one another!
