Pachyderm Dream II

A few of you may remember when I first starting blogging I tenatively posted Pachyderm Dream at the beginning of this year.

I never was totally happy with it. I decided to revisit it and worked on it all afternoon. I am much happier now. What a difference several DSFDF challenges and several hundred visits to my favorite artist blogs can do ....don't you agree?
Hugs,
S

Great! the first one was pretty good, but i very much like what you did with the background here with the swirls and also the pachyderm being blue as well really creates an attractive visual.
This is a delightful and whimsical painting that brings great positive vibes with it.

I really like what you've done with a monochromatic color scheme, and I love the variations in patterns. I didn't see what it looked like before, so don't how it changed. Fantastic!

Sheila, this is just amazing, you are quite flexible with your art, a talent in itself.

Nice painting and an excellent project for a sculpture, don’t you think?. Seriously, the ballerina slipper supporting the massive weight of the elephant's head would make a very interesting piece of sculpture. I do remember this piece and the dream idea is a good one.

Sheila, what a fabulous painting -- monochromatic beauty and the handsome abstract curling tendrils somehow say elephant tusks to me! Art allows me to personalize it that way.

I was so intrigued that I found the first one you posted. Your art has definitely moved to higher level with all your hard work.

Love the surrealism in this! Merging such a strong bulky animal with that delicate, but also strong, ballet toe is genius. It feels like a dream!
