and other weird visions. This actually came to me in a dream and don't ask me what I had for dinner last night. I don't know if it was a Timothy Leary version of Disney's Fantasia or bad cheese.
I'm curious what you think ( besides a possible 72 hour hold) of this oil on 18x36 stretched canvas.

Came to ya in a dream, huh? Very interesting. A dream, you say? Where'd you get that cheese? HMMM...dream. Lemme sleep on it.
hi sheila!
oh how dreamy! he does have that stream of consciousness energy as he gracefully dances on his balleria slipper nose! he is graceful and strong all in one. I love that!

Wow!!! A lot of Freudian imagery here. I love things that puzzle the mind like this. An African Elephant's head balanced on a ballerina’s toe. Delicate and nimble but overbearingly heavy. The mere sight of an elephant is to realize its crushing power but you control it with perfect feminine balance.
Hey Sheila, What a fun piece...you are bursting with creativity! I love all the color you have in the grey of the elephant. I don't know what Freud would say. But if you keep this up, they will come and take you away ;)
OK, I have to admit that you had a weird dream. I think some dreams are messages from your subconcious. If this one is one of those, then my interpretation would be "Sheila, take it easy!." :)
It was a weird dream, but I'd like to add that elephants walk so softly and gently that you cannot hear them, they just appear - so maybe the ballerina nose isn't quite out of place.
Ok here is the official analysis. You are having a difficult time finding you balance. The weight you carry is overwhelming and you are really trying to keep your poise. However a side of you know to look on the brighter side of things because your just a positive person. Lovely colors!
Sheila, I came here to comment on your SF house (which is very nice) but I got sidetracked by looking at this wonderful elephant (up close especially the colors are just exquisite) and the adorable bulldog below. As you can tell I'm a big fan of going with your imagination and it looks like you really did that with this elephant, I LOVE it! The draughtsmanship (sp?) is solid and yet it has a whimsical feeling to the lines and colors. *Great* job. (and of course, Hugs!)
I like it very much because it is my favorite BIG animal. Yes elephants.Than cows.
They are all over the house for good luck I guess?
elephants love to dance!!
