Dragonfruit

I was at my favorite Asian Market and what did I see? Dragonfruit! I had never seen fresh dragonfruit before. I'm sure I looked pretty strange holding each fruit up and turning it around like I was inspecting a fine gem but I want to get the most interesting looking pieces. This is the first attempt. I may do a couple more.

I love the way you have turned the image into an abstract painting. The fruit are lovely, I wish I had a bowlful of them!

The painting as a painting is great, even more interesting than the fruit itself.

Wonderful, Sheila! A magical, musical piece!

Jala, I tasted these for the first time and it was like eating very mild [hardly much flavor] strawberries because of all the tiny seeds. I plan to paint a cut open one next.

That's a cool painting. Very abstract with great color. I love the photo although they look a little scary.

Great colors Sheila! Is this for the DPW challenge? It looks just like what Carol wanted everyone to do with their color mixing. What a fun subject to paint.
