"The Shot"

I was visiting a friend and we happen to pass a bar where he used to hang out during his college years. We ended up having a drink and watching then participating in a game of pool. This was a young man who was playing before the was beat by the opponent who in turn was beat by my friend that day. It's challenging to capture the dark atmosphere of a local hang out.

You certainly caught that smokey feeling of the bar and pool hall! Do you hang around them a lot!!!??

Nice! You capture the atmosphere perfectly.

I don't envy the guy his last shot here. That's a scratch just waiting to happen. Especially if I were the one holding the cue...

Great composition and you have really captured the atmosphere. The green in the foreground is perfect and adds so much without dominating. Love it!

I think this should be a cover for a book. It contains all the mystery an author would need!

Love the unusual perspective -- wonderful. And the rose -- what can I say, it's absolutely luscious and makes me think of Van Gogh.

Thanks for staying up on my blog, Sheila.
